Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio Tease ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ on The Official Marvel Podcast

‘I’m still pinching myself that we’re here doing this still,’ Cox says.

The Devil will soon be returning to Hell’s Kitchen.

Daredevil: Born Again stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio recently took the stage at New York Comic Con 2024, where they teased their upcoming Marvel Television series. The two actors reprise their roles as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, respectively, and the new show will premiere March 4, 2025, on Disney+.

Backstage after their NYCC panel, Cox and D’Onofrio sat down with The Official Marvel Podcast, where they opened up about their return. Both said that the fan response has been overwhelmingly gratifying, with Cox adding, “I’m still pinching myself that we’re here doing this still.”

“The characters in the comics, they’re such great characters,” Cox continued. “The dynamic between these two in 60-plus years of comic history is phenomenal. It’s a wealth of information and knowledge to draw upon. So, we kind of hit the lottery with being cast in this show. I don’t want to embarrass Vincent, but it’s such an honor to share the screen with him... To work opposite this man has been one of the great honors of my career.”

Cox and D’Onofrio also reminisced about their first time suiting up as Murdock and Fisk, recalling how they felt when they first saw the Daredevil costume or Fisk’s iconic white suit from the comics. It was a similar feeling, Cox said, when they arrived on set for Born Again.

“With this new season coming out, this suit has been reinvented,” he said. “Trying it on for the first time and seeing the new color, it’s probably the coolest red we’ve had. Especially now, after 10 years, really knowing what it means to the fans and how much they care makes it a little bit more special.”

D’Onofrio added that he’s loved charting Wilson Fisk’s evolution over time, from his debut in Daredevil to later appearances in Disney+’s Hawkeye and Echo.

“In the new season with my character, you’re also seeing him transform again into something that’s bigger than just New York,” D’Onofrio explained. “I like it. Eventually when he gets there again, just being straight up the Kingpin, it’s really fun.”
